I actually work as an  innkeeper,  and the IT passion was born in 1993 in order to finally have software to handle my own hotel-management needs as I really want it, that's to say with an eye to the user's requirements (of course mine)... and I'm still writing it...

Using Visual Basic since version VB Dos 1.0 through version 6.0, and now VB.Net, I've written (and re-written) software for health-care and tourist shops and users, even as free-lance with Italian and local shops.

In 1999 I met SQL Server, actually in its limited version, MSDE 1.0, that I understood as the missing piece to fill the gap with local users who can't afford buying the full blown edition of the product, and I fell in love with it :-D.

Since October 2003, I was honoured to be awarded Most Valuable Professional for my support to SQL Server community by Microsoft.
